Summary: To all budding civilizations out there, please, please for the love of God don't make slavery top priority. It not only makes you look completely out of touch, but it's by no means ethical or cool. Just look at what happened when the Sumerians attempted to do so with the lower class of their kind.

History: The Sumerians were a large group of humans that had built a great city right below the Asian earth, but at the cost of their ability to stand under the sun without burning up. It came to pass that the sun was the will of the light of their god, Ishtar. However, some of their kind went through a sort of "forced degeneracy" against their will, turning into savage mole-like monsters. The Sumerians ran out of pity and forced them all into slave labor, fed them next to nothing, and kept bowing down to Ishtar.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Two archaeologists free the mole people, boosting their confidence in their own strength and giving them the will to stage a rebellion. The mighty Sumerian empire came crashing down with a combination of an earthquake and the fury of the ex-slaves.

Powers/Abilities: The Mole People have large claws adept for digging and goring their foes.

Weakness: Like the Sumerians ruling over them, the mole people cannot stand bright light.

Scariness Factor: 3-Despite their grotesque appearance and killing ability, it's almost impossible to not pity the mole people in a way. This is best exemplified when the archaeologists free the beasts. After being freed, one mole person walks over to them, and without speaking, basically says "We are eternally grateful".

Trivia: -It is possible for creatures to stay underground and evolve to hate sunlight, and grow pale skin as well.

-The mole people would unintentionally cameo in 1966's "The Wild World of Batwoman" as the monsters the main villain makes.
